I. Welcome: By Scott Clifton at 7:03 p.m. at the Orange Township Hall.

II. Special Guest, Jim Agan, Orange Township Trustee: Mr. Agan spoke on the New Trash Company Progress and New Parking Restrictions.

A. New Trash Company: Effective 2/1/2005 Orange Township will have a single trash collector. The Township Trustees will announce the new trash company on Tuesday, November 23, 2004, at Noon. Bids were received and opened on November 16. The bids, as of our meeting, still needed to be combed through. However, the lowest bid for all-inclusive service was $11.52 per month or $34.56 per quarter. The second lowest bid was about $14 per month and $41 per quarter. "All-inclusive" means--recycling included but not required. If you choose to recycle, 2 18-gal containers will be supplied. It means all bulk pick-up items are included without charge (except refrigeration), and Xmas trees will be picked up without charge. There is an initial 3-year contract with a renewal for 2 additional years at a maximum total 10% increase. We can help control the costs if we choose to recycle. There will be no pick up before 7:30 a.m. or after 6:00 p.m. For residents who are unable or have difficulty getting the trash to the street, pick up will be available at the garage door. Bills for trash collection will be send by the trash provider. Every resident of Orange Township will be billed for and be required to pay for trash service. ANYONE WHO HAS SIGNED A CONTRACT in the past 6 months or so need not be concerned about the contract. As of February 1, 2005, no other haulers will be allowed in Orange Township rendering other haulers unable to fulfill that contract. Complaints initially should go to the hauler. If the hauler does not address the complaint(s) satisfactorily, then contact the Township. Additional particulars will be made available after 11/23 on the township website at www.orangetwp.org, Delaware Gazette, Olentangy News, and Orange Township Newsletter.

B. Parking Violations Bureau: The Orange Township adopted the International Fire Code; and, therefore, are restricting parking on streets and cul-de-sacs to allow adequate clearance for emergency vehicles to travel. You can park on either side of the street only if the street is greater than 27 feet wide. There is NO PARKING on the side of the street with fire hydrants if the street is 27 feet wide or less. There is NO PARKING on cul-de-sacs. Tickets will cost $15. Three (3) unpaid tickets will be reported to the Ohio BMV and result in the inability to renew your registration until the tickets are paid.

III. Questions and Answers: Questions that residents had about the 2005 Budget and dues were addressed.

IV. Next Homeowners' Meeting Date: March 29, 2005

V. Adjourn: Meeting adjourned at 8:40 p.m.
